Ethical problems of Artificial Intelligence

AI creating art

According (Unesco, 2023): While AI is a powerful tool for creation, it raises important questions about the future of art, the rights and remuneration of artists and the integrity of the creative value chain.

Example: Some students have to do a drawing of their house and the one who made the best drawing is going to win a prize. A kid did his homework with all his effort and it was a nice drawing. But another kid did his homework with an AI and he won the prize. The teacher didn’t notice that the drawing was made by Artificial Intelligence.

Plagiarism in content creation

According to (Microsoft, 2023): AI bots can’t create fully original work. They scour a database or the internet (whichever they’re programmed for) to learn how to create content based on what already exists.

For example, the song that was created by an Artificial Intelligence simulating Bad Bunny singing it, was more viral than his whole album.

Social Manipulation and Misinformation:

According to (AcfeInsights, 2023): AI systems can be used to impersonate a real person in a number of ways, depending on the specific context and the capabilities of the AI system in question

For example:

A Man did an analysis to a wealthy family. To implement the plan, he had to call to their house and record a voice to process it in an AI. He recorded the voice of the mom and with an Artificial Intelligence created a dialog to call the husband and tell him that she needed money. His plan was successful because the husband didn’t notice that it was an AI.

 Scams

According to (ABCNews, 2023): There is growing fraud online in which scammers manufacture other identities to dupe financial institutions or their customers out of money.

For example, a woman used AI to create an identity to impersonate like a very rich woman and stole all the money.

AI in medicine

Applying robots in some areas in medicine couldn’t work because they need basic human abilities like compassion.

According (NIH, 2021)Their behavioral (of children) manifestations are lack of cooperation, withdrawal, and aggression that could be uncontrollable with the new robotic medicine system.

For example: A child went to a vaccination and the nurse was a robot and he didn’t want to get the vaccine until a real nurse came.

Why is ethical artificial intelligence important?

According to (Forbes, 2022):Ethics issues can pose business risk such as product failures, legal issues, brand damage and more.

That’s why ethical artificial intelligence is important, to avoid making it a threat to humans.
