Challenges of Artificial Intelligence

1. Unknown nature of the information

 According to (Vadapalli, 2022): One of the most important factors that are a cause of worry for the AI is the unknown nature of how deep learning models predict the output.

For example: A student was doing homework and searched for the information in an AI. When the teacher checked the homework, noticed that the information was wrong because the AI got the information from a non-trusted website.



2. Displacing jobs

According to (AI for good, 2018): AI can deepen inequalities by automating routine tasks and displacing jobs.

For example, a group of people that worked in customer service for a company were fired because de IT department developed an AI chatbot that can handle customer complaints and basic support. 





3. Attacks

According to (MalwareBytes, n.d.): Experts say that attackers can use generative AI and large language models to scale attacks at an unseen level of speed and complexity

For example: Some users received an email from an online store that said they have to change their passwords to improve the security of their account. It looked like a real email but it was made by an attacker that improved his phishing virus with AI to make it look more real to get the credential of the user to do free shopping. 

4. Serious consequences 

According to (Comiter, 2019): As AI systems are integrated into critical commercial and military applications, these attacks can have serious, even life-and-death, consequences.

For example: An attacker infected the AI of an autonomous car to drive in the opposite direction of the street and cause multiple accidents.

5. Create fake videos 

According to (Hassan, 2023): Furthermore, AI can be used to create deepfake videos and images, highly realistic simulations of people saying or doing things that they never actually did.

For example: A President was in a very big polemic because there was a video in social media where he said something that wasn’t appropriate. But it was made with Artificial Intelligence. He didn’t say anything.
